We're super sorry about the news/update delay! Both admins were our of town for the entire weekend and had very little time to send out updates. We're here now! But as compensation for the delay, we added a free Sweet Bee ribbon to the Stitching Shop for this month, so grab it while you can!

Discord updates

We're beginning our fourth year of running Perfpals, a blessing we can't thank you all enough for! However, as it stands now, we have TOO MANY EMOJIS in our current discord server! Because of this, we've decided to make a second discord to move the emoji icons for retired threads/ribbons/items to in order to free up some emoji space in our main server! Not a huge change or anything, but we thought we should let you know! The link to the emoji server will be in the announcements there if you're interested and want to be able to continue to use those old emoji icons!

For this months event, team up with another server member to create the ultimate Perfpal pairing! All kinds of love are important, and some say that "love and hate are one in the same".

Platonic love:

You and your partner both win a Scientific Thread for fullfilling the following requirements:

- One writing about the duo (750 word minimum)

- One drawing of the duo hanging out and having fun

Romantic love:

You and your partner both win a Cupid Thread for fullfilling the following requirements:

- Write at least two love letters the Perfpals have exchanged (No word count minimum, but please put in effort)

We're putting all our energy into the website right now, woohoo! You've seen our updated look, and currently we're working towards upgrading to Lorekeeper v3 so we can add ko-fi/patreon integration (sweet!). In the mean time, we'd like to have nice background art for our location pages to give everyone a good feel of how each area looks, and to dress up those pages a bit more!

We would love to commission a talented artist to make this happen (neither of us are particulary equipped for drawing fantasy backgrounds >w<) What does that mean for you? How can you help? And whats all that  got to do with being a guest artist anyways?

This months thread is the Shine Thread! As always, it's free to use all month for any Perfpals you make/add on to! Please don't miss this sweet and twisted thread!

The casino is open!

Every January we run our "casino" event where you can win items to use on your Perfpals! If you're in our discord, you'll be able to roll a dice each week for free to test your luck and see if you can win a couple items. Our paid rolls will always guaruntee you an item that's worth the $5 roll price AT LEAST, but there are also item bundles and even guest artist adopts that are worth more that are possible to win as well! We always look forward to running the event each year, so we hope to see you there too!

Ramiel and Misty had a stupid argument again, now they won't talk to each other! Unfortunately, Ramiel still needs Perfpals to help him run the casino this month! Create a common-rarity Perfpal to help him out, would you? You may use this month's Shine Thread, as well as a Demon Thread, Rose Ribbon, and the new Seer Ribbon! (You do not have to use all of them, but you must at least include one trait from the Shine Thread!)

Get them approved in the designated channel in the server, and a moderator will upload them to the website for you!

charity event conclusion!

Last month, you all helped us raise money for Partners In Health, and we are totally pleased to announce that together we were able to donate...

$1,304!

Breaking our previous year's record of $1,114 by 190 dollars! Thank you to everyone who bought shop items and adopts during the month of December, as well as a big big thanks to LucidRox for making a guest adopt for the charity as well! We always have a lot of fun manageing the event, and we're super happy that we can use our community for a good cause.

(The donations are seperate, I got oversealous and made the donation early while writing the newspost and had to add on other shop orders after the fact!)

As for the keychain orders, they will be sent to manufacturing soon and shipped out as soon as we get them! If you ordered one, I will keep everyone updated in the Discord's announcements channel. Again, thank you everyperf!

Everybody loves Christmas threads, right?? Will we ever run out of ideas to make the threads unique? I doubt it! Here's the Gingerbread thread for proof! Lysandre suggests trying to use some of the traits on non-holiday Perfpals... you'll see how adaptable this thread is to all Perfs!

Perfpals Charity!

Every year we hold our annual Charity Fundraiser. Year one we donated 400$ to One Warm Coat. Last year we donated 1000$ to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund. This year we aim to donate around 500$.

Our charity of choice this year is Partners in Health
We thoroughly researched this charity to ensure that we chose a legitimate and effective organization to donate to. We were pleased to see their rating and transparency! 

What can you do to help?
This month, we are holding exclusive sales where the proceeds go straight to the charity. We will also have our guest/official artists make adopts for this, and we are even blessed enough to have two other artists, Lucidrox and Moogie, to help us out! We have also made official keychains.

Perfpals Secret Santa

Please follow the rules stated on the form.

What is the Secret Santa?
You will be drawing a Perfpal for someone completely random, and you will be receiving a totally random Perfpal! You are given 3 scents and some "aesthetic" ideas for the Perfpal you're creating. Please only enter if you are 100% sure you can create the Perfpal on time.
All Perfpals must be 100% hand-drawn and be a colored full-body.

Deadlines
Forms are open until December 5th. They close that day at 11:59 pm
Partners are given out on the 6th.
The deadline to drop out is the 15th.
The deadline to finish the Perfpal is on the 24th before 3 pm EST.

This month, as is the case every October, we don't have a thread but a spooky mutation to come haunt the world of Cuddleluna once more! Ensure that your guests and loved ones remain stuffed, as the grand feast for the Vamperfs has commenced. Do not let their allure sway you, for if you allow them to reside in your home... You will be drained of the very life and essence that makes up a Perfpal..!!
During this month, you can make these along with the Zombperf and Wereperf forms for pre-existing Perfpals! Please submit their monstrous form as a design update request on the Perfpal you're adding it to, and we'll handle it from there. There is no MYO required to add this form to a Perfpal. You can also make a standalone Vamperf if you so desire.

Woah! Those are some spooky ribbons...

Speaking of, we've got a sale for our Halloween Cereal ribbons going on all month! These are all priced at $3 each; just head on over to the ⁠Discord to buy them. No tricks here, thankfully! After this sale, the ribbons will be officially retired.

Every Perfpal in Karanova is preparing to say goodbye to the summertime!

As the leader of Karanova, Yasemin saw how the seasons shaped her people’s hearts. Summer brought energy and abundance, but it also brought restlessness and a sense of pride. She believed that strength wasn’t only about victory, but also knowing when to yield and reflect. The perpetual twilight of the Obsidian Valley inspired her. It symbolized the delicate balance between light and darkness. One could say it also represented the difference between holding on and letting go.
She founded Sable Sunfare to give her people a way to honor that balance. The festival would not be about mourning summer’s end but celebrating what had been gained.  This was a way to release what could no longer be carried into the colder months. 
"Summer burns hot, but no flame lasts forever. Strength is knowing when to set it down."

We have two new Verdara exclusive pets to go with each thread! The new Keji, a cute robotic friend that's the size of a keychain! When equipped in Verdara, they can provide buffs to your characters stats! And a new member of the Lili family, the Lilidigis! These Verdara pets can heal your characters HP. According to lore these pets only exist for digital Perfpals in Verdara, but if you wish to make one for another Perfpal that's ok too.

This month you can earn petals by participating in the discord server! By checking in every day, you can also earn special items! You must have collected every previous petal to earn that days item (you can still earn the other petals!). So, what are petals? They're a special currency that can only be earned this month to be spent at Beau's Stall! Beau has decided this spring to sell extra goodies for Perfpals who can collect lots of petals! This months exclusives, the Rose, Tiger Lily, Lotus, and Cherry Blossom ribbons are for sale only for petals! Please have fun earning lots of petals and chatting with your fellow Perfpal friends!
