Q: Your Species Is Closed?? Why?!

A: Great Question! We are a closed species, so we must ensure people follow the rules of perfpals. If everyone could make a perfpal so easily, there would be multiple perfpals with errors from people who never got their perfpals approved ^^" We also do this to enforce our no nsfw rule. By keeping tabs on our perfpals, we can ensure that no perf is breaking that rule.

Q: They're just plush bunnies...

A: Not quite! Perfpals are a scented magical species that are sewn together with magic and love. Did you know only the head shape of perfpals is taken from a rabbit? The rest of the body is taken from many different animals. That's why perfpals have deer legs, unicorn and dog tails, and plushie-specific paws! The ears? You can get different shapes with threads!

Q: But I don't have money!
A: That's perfectly fine! We offer multiple ways to receive free myos. Pinned in our server chatroom is just some of those ways that you can get a perfpal for free! Perfpals break the CS norms by not counting on "exclusivity" to keep us thriving... there are SO many perfpals made in just one year! It would be very easy to get your hands on a premade if MYOs aren't your thing. We don't need to have your money for you to make a perfpal. Our community has donated 379$ to charity in 2023 that donates coats to Americans in need. We believe in giving back, and we believe in accessibility for anyone.

Q: Now I know Perfpals can be free, what about threads? Ribbons? Your shop items?
A: They can be gifted and traded! We have events where we give those things away for free as well. In fact we aim to have a "something for free" event every 3 months.

Q: What about your lore? I don't want to follow it...
A: That's ok, sometimes! Here are the exceptions:
1) Your perfpal can't shapeshift or use superpowers (unless threads/items allow it)
2) Have your perfpal die / be undead(unless threads allow it)

Q: Can I use my perfpal for commercial use?
A: Of course! They're your character. Credit is nice but not needed

Q: Can I make perfpal adopts?
A: Only guest artists can make perfpal adopts. That is because there is an approval system with them as well. You can trade/sell/gift Perfpals you've made but please do not make them just for this reason.

Q: Can I trade/sell/gift my items like myos?
A: Yep! Just make sure you don't sell for more than you received. (5$ myo sell for 5$)

Q: Can I sell my perfpal for more than they're worth?
A: You'll have to contact whoever made your perfpal for their own personal terms of service.

REDESIGNING

Q: Do I need a redesign ticket to add/remove threads?
A: You can do that completely for free. Removing a thread does not add the thread back to your roster, however. Once it's used it's used for good. You CAN re-add it back to the same perfpal, but you can't keep it / trade it / sell it / put it on another perfpal if you remove it. "I got this perfpal in a trade and it used to have an old thread but the old owner removed it can I add it back? Yes! Just provide proof the perfpal used to have that thread.

Q: Do I need a redesign ticket to change hair or clothing?
A: Anything you can modify in real life you can modify on your perfpal for free. If you can change your clothes, dye/cut your hair, and pierce yourself you're fine. "What about embroidery tattoos?" Those are fine as long as you make sure to note they are tattoos, not markings you are adding! Just write it somewhere on their reference or toyhouse. "What about prosthetics?" Any aid you can add completely for free anytime.

Q: Do I need a redesigned ticket to make an alt pallet?
A: No. Slight hue shifts are completely fine. Completely changing the colors of everything is not okay. Please post what you're thinking in ⁠Discord if you're unsure!

Q: Do I need a redesign ticket to completely change the colors of everything?
A: Yes. That would be considered a big change.

Q: Do I need a redesign ticket to change my perfpals markings?
A: Adding very very small details is fine, but when you start changing major parts of the design, you need a redesign ticket. It's on a case-by-case basis, so please check in ⁠questions if your perfpal needs a redesigned ticket, new myo, or is all good!

Q: Can I completely change my perfpal with a redesign ticket?
A: You would need a whole new MYO to completely change your perfpal. This is so people can't cheat just by getting an MYO ticket. Your best bet is to sell/trade that perfpal and buy/trade for a new MYO.

Q: Can I delete my perfpal for their myo + extras?
A: Your perfpal becomes part of the master list and is there permanently. Anything you used on that perfpal has been used for good meaning you no longer own it as an item. Your best bet is to sell/trade that perfpal and buy/trade for a new MYO and items.

Q: I tried uploading an image, but it gave me a 500 error!
A: If you were uploading an image for an MYO and you got a 500 error code, it is most likely that the image you were trying to upload is too big! Try resizing it or optimizing it. An easy site that lets you do this is EZgif! The best way to do it is by making sure your image is less than 2000px on each side. If you've optimized your image and are still getting the error, feel free to contact a moderator about it instead.

Q: Something on the site gave me an error. What should I do?
A: Bugs are inevitable on a site like this. If you should run into any errors, please don't hesitate to submit a bug report! The link to submit can be found at the bottom of every page. Please include what you did to get the error and the error code it gave you! The more information you give us, the easier it will be for us to fix it!

Other

Q: One of my Perfpals was uploaded with incorrect information. How can I fix it?
A:  You may submit a Design Update request with the correct information by going to your Perfpal's page and clicking Update Design under the settings tab on the sidebar! Just like with claims, a moderator will verify your request and get your design updated as soon as possible!

Q: I own a Perfpal that isn't currently on the website. How can I get them uploaded to my account?
A: If you own a Perfpal that isn't currently on the website, you will need to submit a claim. Put the Perfpal's toyhouse link in the URL section. Optional but very helpful, you can list the traits in the comment section. Do not add any items to your claim or characters; just submit.

Q: I already have items/MYO tickets from the Discord server! How do I add them to my account here?
A: First, make sure you have proof of every Perfpal item you own. Once you have all of that gathered,  you will submit a claim through Submit>Submit Claim.  Do not put just one link in the URL (Optional) section unless you have just one MYO/item.  In the comment, link your image proofs for every single thing you own. Do not use Discord image links for this, as they break quickly! We recommend using a free website like Catbox or Imgur If you received them through a trade/gift, include proof of that. Next, you will add the MYOs/items as rewards. Do not attach them to a character; leave that field blank. After submitting your claim, all you need to do is wait for a moderator to verify it, and you'll get your items!
*If you have lost proof of your MYO or site, we cannot do anything to help. Users are responsible for gathering their screenshots on their own.
